NME, which stands for New Musical Express is a popular UK music magazine which has been published weekly since 1952. It was the first of its kind to publish singles chart, and finally in 1970 it became the best selling UK music magazine. It has a complex network of owners/publishers, being published by a UK company called ipc media. This company is then owned by another, called Time inc which in turn are owned by Time Warner.
