Who's Jack contents analysis

Route of the eye:
The route of the eye first draws your attention to the contents, then the fact that Who’s Jack has a twitter page. You then go on to read the contents of the magazine and eventually stockists.

Principle of thirds:
The principle of thirds doesn’t really contain anything eye-catching, just the contents of the magazine and stockists.

Hotspots:
The top two hotspots are placed in the middle of the contents, drawing attention to it, and the bottom two are in the middle of the stockists, for the same reason.

Fonts:
There isn’t a variety of fonts used on the contents page. Everything is written in a relatively small font, and all the writing is grey, except ‘features’ which is red to make it stand out.

Mode of address:
The mode of address for the contents page is formal, the layout is neat, and no slang is used. This shows us that the magazine is aimed at a mature audience, with a deep interest in music.

Colours:
The colours used on the contents page are very basic; the background is plain white, with a grey # to add some detailing. All of the writing is grey, except for the ‘features’ which is coloured to make it stand out. The part of the page that strikes people the most is the blue circle with the twitter address on, this is because it stands out from the rest of the background and is the most colourful thing on the page.
