It is informal, and also fun/playful. The vibrant colours appeal to a younger audience and the layout is cluttered.

The magazine has a dark background, but the title is bright green/ yellow, making it stand out and attract the reader. The rest of the cover has co-ordinating colours, making it look neat and aesthetically pleasing.
Most of the fonts used on the front cover are matching, but they use a selection of sizes, and some are in bold, and are coloured differently. This makes it look neat. The colours used are more masculine than feminine, but may appeal to both genders.

thirds on the right hand side, because there is just writing. Also in the principle of thirds is the back to school crayons.

The contents page uses a selection of images; the main images are of school based objects, like text books and globes. There is also a large image of crayons with back to school written above it, this shows us what the magazine is going to be about Neat, non- cluttered layout, but the images make it appear cluttered.
