Us: Hello - tell us how you feel about the new album!? It must be amazing..
Her: Yeah it's top, i've tried so hard to get here - i just can't believe i've finally done it!
Us: your album knocked rihanna off the number one spot..
Her: i know (laughs) when i first see it in the charts i never ever ever expected it to get anywhere near the top, let alone number one. that's mega.
Us: that's a pretty big achievement for someone that doesn't even have a record deal..
Her: yeah i know! i'm so proud of myself for coming this far! although i am in talks of a record deal with Atlantic records, which is mega news.
Us: congratulations! what have you done to get this far?
her: what haven't i done! i've been touring supporting artists such as example, which has helped me become recognised, i've been in the studio, i've been sleeping on sofas, i've not been sleeping. i've been promoting myself, spending all my money... and just generally doing everything i can!
Us: what's next for you?
Her: i'm gonna take a week off, then im straight back in the studio. i've got some great new material that needs recording. i'm just hoping to get bigger and better from now!
Us: we're pretty sure that's going to happen! are you going to go more commercial now you've got a label?
her: no way! i've got a solid fan base who love me for my music, and i wouldn't want to risk losing any of them, they're the people who got me this far and they love the music i make, as do i.
Us: how would you describe your style of music?
her: d'you know what!? i'm not really sure.. i'm a woman with a guitar, but so far i've collaborated with grime artists such as JME and Wiley, then people like leddra chapman, who is more my style of music. i think my music should have it's own genre (laughs)
us: definitely! and with that we say goodbye to Allison N.
